VAWZ (Vets for Animal Welfare)

 

Known as Veterinarians for Animal Welfare Zimbabwe or ‘VAWZ’ and operating as a private trust organisation, we are answerable to the Council of Veterinary Surgeons of Zimbabwe and to the Veterinary Profession in general. The organisation is presently controlled by a Management Committee consisting of private and government Veterinarians and other Animal Welfare Specialists. 
 The committee monitors and directs the activities of the VAWZ staff, as well as VAWZ’ general adherence to its terms of reference. VAWZ employs a small number of persons qualified in Animal Welfare and licensed as Inspectors under the current Act. The organisation operates country wide.

Twala Trust Animal Sanctuary

 

We are creating a forever home for the animals and birds we have rescued from all over Zimbabwe. From lions to meerkats, donkeys to owls, our beloved animal family will live the lives they so deserve in our care at Twala. We are currently building the infrastructure necessary to house the animals at Twala, but are already taking in rescues.
